Jet Fuel Distribution System

From the refineries, jet fuel may transfer through the pipeline or oceangoing vessel to terminal. After that, it is then further travel to the airport storage tank using pipeline or truck. And finally, it will be distributed to the aircraft via the fueling truck.

As a result, the quality of aviation fuel needs to be measured every time its custody is transferred during its production, storage and distribution. Airlines, airports, fuel suppliers, refineries, storage facilities and fuel transporters need to comply with standard and specifications to make sure the highest degree of jet fuel quality for flight safety.
