Business Development Manager (Clinical Diagnostics) – Selangor

Description

This Business Development Manager role is for the Clinical Diagnostics team and will be responsible for driving business through projects/tenders. This role involves developing and executing strategies, building strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets for our clinical diagnostics product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, a deep understanding of the clinical diagnostics market, good customer network and a proven ability to drive business growth.

You will play an important role to:

  • Meet team and individual goals.
  • Maintain sales targets with integrated sales quota planning – and analyze the actual sales pipeline against planned.
  • Identify key account customers, exploring opportunities for the product portfolio or project basis.
  • Carry out 100% of time on field visits to potential customers
  • Carry out all activities as listed in the Sales and Marketing Plan, e.g. planning, preparing sales tools and organizing presentation to a targeted group.
  • Gather market analysis / intelligence and identify product and market segmentations, liaise with Key Account Team to close opportunities by joint efforts
  • Identify leads and market potential to expand customer base, through exploration of the market, identifying market potential by maintaining customer database.
  • Build good rapport with identified Key Opinion Leaders

Requirements:

  • Minimum a bachelor's degree in science, Biology, Biomedical, Biotechnology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of sales experience.
  • Strong understanding of the clinical diagnostics market, including products, customers and competitors.
  • Fluent in verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Own a valid driving license and a car
  • Willing to travel extensively
