CHRONECT Symbiosis is an online SPE system, controlled by CHRONOS Symbiosis, that can be coupled with MS and various biological samples using a DBS Autosampler.
CHRONECT Workstation MCPD
Workstation for the fully automatic determination of MCPD and glycidol in food. Analysis of MCPD and glycidol in foods - 3-Monochloro-1,2-propanediol (3-MCPD), 2-monochloro-1,3-propanediol (2-MCPD) and glycidol are among production-related contaminants in oil- and fat-containing foods. They are formed during the necessary refining process in the production of oils. 3-MCPD is suspected of damaging DNA and causing cancer. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) specifies 2 µg/kg body weight as the tolerable daily intake level for 3-MCPD. A harmful effect is also suspected for 2-MCPD. This has already been demonstrated for glycidol. - The analysis of these contaminants is becoming increasingly important due to their carcinogenicity. Different methods have been developed for the determination. The CHRONECT Workstation MCPD offers a fully automated solution for the four common methods.
CHRONECT Workstation MOSH/MOAH
Complete workstation for the determination of mineral oil contaminants in food, feed, packaging and cosmetics. Undesirable mineral oil residues are found in numerous foods or food contact materials: Saturated hydrocarbons (MOSH - mineral oil saturated hydrocarbons) and aromatic hydrocarbons (MOAH - mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbons). While the first substance class accumulates in the human body, the second compound class is suspected to contain carcinogenic substances. These substances can enter food through numerous contamination pathways.
